Not Yo Momma's Jerk Chicken

I didn't grow up with a huge Jamaican background or influence. But, I always tried to make the dish at home. Perfecting and tasting, I got to something very close to what I call "Not Yo Momma's Jerk Chicken". There is spice and flavor with a mild hint of pepper. This recipe is super easy and quick! So make sure to try it out, whether you are in a rush or you are just looking for a quick fun dinner..You found your dish!!

Ingredients:

2 chicken breast

1 Tbsp of your choice of oil

2 pablano peppers

2 tsp lime juice

2 tsp soy sauce

3-4 Tbsp jerk marinade (?)

1 tsp salt

1 tsp pepper

Directions:

1.) Grab a large sauce pan. Turn heat onto medium-high. Place oil and wait a minute or two until your oil is hot.

2.) While waiting for your oil to heat you chop your chicken into 1 inch cubed pieces. Marinate in the jerk, lime juice, salt and pepper. Prep your pablano peppers by mincing them.

3.) Once oil is hot, you can add your pablano peppers to the oil. Be careful!! The oil may spit!

4.) Saute your peppers for about 2 minutes and when done you can add your chicken and marinade to the pan. Stir around and make sure the chicken is cooking evenly. To cook the chicken it should take about 7-10 minutes.

5.) Once, chicken is cooked thoroughly you may add the soy sauce and let simmer for about 3-5 minutes.

6.) After, you can see everything is mixed well. You may serve with steamed white rice and your choice of vegetables.

7.) Enjoy!
